lean in malaysia

Asia Women is a non-profit establishment that harnesses the power of leadership and community to embolden women to achieve their full potential. Independently driven, AW powers the Lean In Malaysia & Asia brand, part of the LeanIn.Org network of 33,000+ circles. In Jan 2016, I was appointed Regional Leader by Sheryl Sandberg, in which I launched #leaninasia. Currently, I am a Director of the Board and am not involved in day-to-day operations, which is lead by a great team of women and men!

AW’s programmes are developed to address two key issues in Asia:

  • The declining pipeline of women progressing into senior management
  • High drop- out rates in the workforce

As a Board Member, she is never afraid to roll up her sleeves, and she plays the “devil’s advocate” in asking the hard questions on:

Governance: Without a diverse team or workforce, she believes firms run real risks in their business

Scale: Work worth doing needs to be done at scale – she opens doors and catalyzes opportunities for partnerships through her work

Impact: Work worth doing must create real value and impact – she brings strategic thinking to help firms and companies truly drive results
